A focused second look before your number goes out.
↗04Overflow & fractional support

↗A fee matched to the work.
Fixed fees are planned for individual projects, with monthly arrangements for recurring estimating customers. Prices are quoted after scope review. Document completeness, project complexity, alternates, pricing inputs, revisions and the required schedule affect the proposal.
Choose CAD or USD as your preferred quote currency. The proposal confirms the currency, applicable taxes, payment terms and any extra work.
Your Estimating Department Today. Your Estimating Platform Tomorrow.
VOLT X provides professional electrical estimating services powered by Xkey AiE.
VOLT X uses Xkey AiE software to prepare electrical estimates. For certain contracts, a client may request a separate Xkey AiE account for access to its estimating work and a later transfer. Where the contract includes this arrangement, VOLT X holds the account and pays the monthly subscription as part of the services agreement until transfer is requested. Client access, the transfer process, subscription responsibility and project-record handling are defined in the contract and applicable Xkey AiE terms.
When you are ready to bring estimating in-house, you can request transfer of the Xkey AiE account. The contract and applicable Xkey AiE terms govern the handoff, subscription responsibility and project-record access.
Local project inputs. A clear estimating brief.
Tell us the city, state or province, country and project type. Each engagement works from the agreed drawings, specifications, applicable code requirements and cost assumptions for that project.
- Currency: request USD or CAD; the proposal confirms billing currency and payment terms.
- Terminology and units: agree labor/labour terminology and metric, imperial or clearly labelled mixed units.
- Code and jurisdiction: identify the authority having jurisdiction and requirements supplied by the project team; estimating support does not imply engineering certification or a professional license.
- Local cost inputs: agree supplier quotations, labor/labour rates, productivity assumptions and allowances.
- Deadlines: state the bid date, local time and time zone, plus the internal review cutoff.

Electrical contractor
VOLT X provides project-based and recurring electrical estimating support for contractors throughout the United States and Canada. Choose a quantity takeoff, a full estimate with agreed cost inputs, or a focused bid review; your company retains control of the final tender.
↗Estimating manager
VOLT X supports estimating managers who need a defined external work package alongside an internal department. Assign the measurement, costing or review work you want to delegate while keeping document control, commercial inputs and final bid approval with named owners.
↗Small electrical contractor
Small electrical contractors can engage VOLT X for a specific takeoff, estimate or review assignment without starting with a recurring arrangement. Begin with the opportunity in front of you and agree only the support, fee and schedule that project needs.
↗Growing electrical contractor
VOLT X helps growing electrical contractors discuss recurring estimating support around an active pipeline. Define capacity, work allocation and review responsibilities now, with an optional contractual pathway toward in-house estimating when your company is ready.
↗General contractor / preconstruction
General contractors can ask VOLT X to review an electrical scope for budgeting, quantity development or a defined bid-review assignment. Specify the project stage and required use of the estimate; VOLT X’s service scope is electrical estimating, not a whole-project general construction estimate.
